Company administrators & staff

These users represent customers running Skilladder for their workforce programs.

Company administrators (“primary administrators”)

They generally see:

  • Dashboard: summary metrics + charts that describe assessment throughput and completions for their tenant only.
  • Assessments list plus creation / upload shortcuts when entitlement flags allow (Create, Upload buttons respect role + finer staff toggles downstream).
  • Templates stewardship for their catalogue (deployment across companies only shows if they also leverage portfolio-level permissions).
  • Candidates folder for detailed profiles surfaced to them.
  • Skills taxonomy explorer when Skilladder exposes taxonomy visibility (feature flag + staff granular permission interplay).
  • Account settings, including Profile + optionally Team tab invitations if they fulfil company primary prerequisites.

Operational guidance:

  • Teach customers that everything is scoped: search columns or filters labelled with portfolio terminology appear only once multi-company access exists.
  • If they cannot locate Export, never promise capability — staff-level toggles gate exportability.

Company staff & Staff viewer

Often provisioned when HR teams want deputies without full-write authority:

  • Capability matrix may disable creating assessments/templates, altering sensitive settings, exporting raw results buckets, taxonomy visibility, managing question lifecycle, etc.—refer to granular permission tooling rather than guessing.
  • “Staff viewer” naming signals mostly read-mostly workflows internally; pairing with granular toggles avoids mis-setting expectations externally.

Team invitations (adding a colleague’s login to the tenant) are documented under Team invites & enterprise invites—by default primary administrators send them even if deputies can see parts of Account settings.
